Harper hiccuped. A lot. Both in utero and out in the great wide world. The speech therapists who would come by would tell me it was a sign of stress in newborns. And Harper certainly had a lot of stresses to deal with in her short life.
I was sorting through pictures today for Harper's memorial service and ran across this video. Like pretty much everything else these days, it made me cry. But I'm so, so happy I have it, because it reminds me - in a way no pictures can - how very much alive my little girl was. I wish I had taken more video footage of her.
Beautiful to watch how she is soothed by your gentle touch. Thinking of you.
